Parenting is a profound journey and gift, and the most important job you’ll ever do, and at the same time, it can be really hard and stressful to parent in the world as it is today.

We’re thrown in the deep end from day one and have to learn through trial and error as we go, with our kids being the guinea pigs. We hope for the best and often fear the worst. On one hand, we want to trust our intuition and instincts, and on the other hand, we look to what’s out there. There is so much advice and many contradicting styles of parenting that set our heads spinning as we try to do the right thing. To make it more complex, each child is different and needs different things to thrive. If only children were born with an instruction manual!

If that wasn’t enough, many of us carry pain or patterns from our own childhoods and have made a promise to ourselves to parent differently. What I know from all the parents I’ve worked with, and my own journey as a parent, is that no matter the odds, we all deeply wish to show up in the best way possible for our kids, and to know how to handle challenging behaviour or dynamics much better. And yet, very few of us have a model or roadmap for this.

We already have all the great strategies, books and information out there; it’s not enough for real change. What we need are skills and inner transformation.
